After Dark: ESSENCE Hosts 'Art of Giving' Honoring Holly Robinson Peete

ESSENCE teamed up with BMW to host the “Art of Giving,” an evening celebrating the philanthropic endeavors of actress Holly Robinson-Peete and Ethiopian-born fashion designer, Gelila Assefa Puck.

Both honorees have worked tirelessly for their respective causes; Holly for the HollyRod Foundation; Gelila for the Dream for Future Africa Foundation.

The evening featured a silent auction with artwork from Solange Knowles, Janelle Monae and actor Jesse Williams. All proceeds will benefit both The HollyRod Foundation and Dream the Future.

The evening, hosted by ESSENCE Editor-at-Large Mikki Taylor, featured a bevy of celebs who came out to support Holly and Gelila’s charities.
