It’s art to some, and more unnecessary nudity in music videos to others. Erykah Badu’s latest video for “Window Seat” is being deconstructed by commenters on blogs and Twitter. In the video, Badu walks down the street in downtown Dallas while slowly disrobing, until she is completely naked. The singer took to her Twitter account to explain the thinking behind all the buzz. “#Windowseat was shot guerilla style.” she tweeted. “No crew, 1 take, no closed set, no warning, 2 mins downtown Dallas..then ran like hell. “I was petrified while shooting this video but liberation began to set in. I conquered many fears in that few moments. I am greatful (sic) No closed set. no actors. everything was real.” “I think nudity outside your individual four walls is seriously uncalled for,” wrote one commenter on a popular blog. But support from fans who “get” Badu’s message has been equally voiced. “Dare to be different! The video shows her as vulnerable, but the message is so strong. Kudos to Badu!” wrote one. Read More:
