It marked the largest television audience since the Super Bowl’s 97.5 million and the highest-rated election night since 1980. ABC took the lead spot overall, averaging 13.1 million viewers to NBC’s 12.0 million and CBS’ 7.8 million. Fox News averaged 9.0 million and MSNBC averaged 5.9 million viewers.
