Congrats are in order for Eddie Murphy and his fiancé Paige Butcher, who both welcomed a baby boy into the world. The couple confirmed that their second child together, a son named Max Charles Murphy, was born on Friday in a statement to People magazine.
“Both mother and son are doing well,” the comedian’s rep added.
And his son’s name has a sentimental meaning — the newborn is named after Murphy’s late brother, Charlie Murphy, who passed away from leukemia last year, according to USA Today.
Murphy and Butcher already share a 2-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona, and the famed comedian has nine other children from previous relationships.
