Eddie Murphy has made us laugh for decades, and now, he is receiving the nation’s highest honor for comedy!
Later this month, Murphy will be honored at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center, where he will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, the country’s most prestigious title given to comedians, reports the Huffington Post.
But there’s more!
Tracy Morgan is set to honor the comedian during the ceremony. Morgan, who is in the process of making his long-awaited return to comedy after recovering from last year’s deadly car accident, joins comedians like Chris Rock, Trevor Noah, Dave Chappelle, Jay Pharaoh, Arsenio Hall and George Lopez, who are all slated to perform and honor Murphy.
