The Commerce Department notes that March retail sale received a 1.1 percent drop from February, according to Reuters. This comes after the department predicted a .3 percent increase for the month. So far, the decline has affected all retail industries except food and beverage, health, and personal care. The dip in percentage is believed to be a result of the 2.3 percent decline in auto and parts sales. —LB
