The Grammy Award-winning rapper announced this week that he will be hosting this year's ESPYs awards on July 16th.
Drake announced this week on Twitter that he will be hosting the 2014 ESPY awards.
The Toronto Raptor Global Ambassador stopped by ESPN’s NBA Countdown to talk all about how his latest gig is a lifelong dream.
“It’s been a dream of mine for a long time. I’ve watched a guy that I look up to in every aspect of life, Jamie Foxx, do it and I always say, ‘if I can follow in his footsteps that would be a great career for me.’ So, I was blessed with the opportunity to do it. SNL gave me the confidence to do it and here I am,” he said.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper definitely reminded everyone of his acting roots when he hosted SNL earlier this year and it looks like ESPN took notice.
Drake also went on Jimmy Kimmel last night to talk about hosting the sports award show. He also teamed up with the late show to go undercover in an awkward disguise to find out what people really think about him. Watch the funny video above.
