“My decision is that I will not testify,” said Murray to the judge after being asked.

Before the judge could even respond to Murray, the prosecution almost immediately objected to Murray’s response, calling it a “narrative answer,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
The judge repeated his question to Murray and he replied “My decision is that I will not testify in this matter.” Murray conveyed that he made this decision on his own and that he understood his rights.

So Murray is out of the line of fire for the time being. The defense team has called all of their witnesses, and now rebuttal witnesses from the prosecution will take the stand.
Yesterday it was reported that the judge will likely send jurors home by Thursday and will turn the case over to them when closing arguments are concluded at the start of next week.
The trial is in the final stretch — it would be a shame if the jury prolonged this even more.
