Money may cause the biggest problems in relationships, but the recession has caused more couples to stay together, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The majority of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers saw a big dip in divorce fillings compared to this time last year. With the average divorce costing, $2,500 to $10,000, it just may be cheaper to keep her – or him.
“We’ve been getting as many consultations, but people have become much slower to file. People are being much more cost-conscious about everything, including divorce.” said Atlanta divorce attorney Randy Kessler to the paper. His celebrity clients include Tameka Foster Raymond and recently remarried Bishop Thomas Weeks III. -CJ
