Designer Oscar de la Renta appeared on “The View” on April 14 and attempted to squash the chaos surrounding his comments about First Lady Michelle Obama wearing an Azzedine Alaïa sweater to meet Queen Elizabeth II, according to WWD. The designer said, “She’s entitled to wear anything she wants to. Famed designer Oscar de la Renta voiced his disdain for First Lady Michelle Obama’s recent fashion choices, according to New York Magazine. “Our industry right now is having a very difficult time,” he said. “I think it would be great if the First Lady dressed in American styles.
