Researchers surveyed 4,864 married people in 2,767 couples who have been together for an average of 33 years. Based on the results if both partners participated in drinking or if both partners abstained from alcohol over the age of 50 then they were more likely to have a satisfying marriage. If one partner drank and the other one did not than it was more likely the marriage was unhappy.
Couples are known to have better martial quality when they do leisure activities, so drinking is another thing to add on your list to do with your significant other.
