Although this year’s Halloween will look a bit different, creatives are still working hard on innovative, attention-grabbing costumes. On October 29, Atlanta-based beauty blogger and CEO of Bolden Creative, Dayna Bolden, and her hubby Ernest, recreated the iconic poster from 2019 film Queen and Slim.
“Will you be my legacy?” Bolden’s caption read, in a nod to one of the more tender lines from the movie. “The moment we saw [the] Queen And Slim movie we knew that we would recreate their iconic looks for Halloween! Did we nail it?,” she added. She also chronicled how they found and put together the outfits that seemed to be straight from the movie.
Paying special attention to detail, the couple rented an old school car and got Ernest a red velour tracksuit, while Dayna sported a red, zebra print bodycon dresss and snake print boots that she says she “searched high and low” for. Complete with gauze wrapped around her leg and the short haircut worn by Queen, this creative and iconic shoot is the inspiration we needed for this year’s Halloween.
The photo shoot has received over 8,000 likes on Instagram thus far.
