Countess Vaughn Pens Heartfelt Instagram Apology to Brandy: ‘I Apologize for Anything Negative I’ve Done’

Countess Vaughn is ready to bury the hatchet with her Moesha co-star Brandy.

Relations between the two stars have been tense ever since they starred as BFFs on the UPN show. In the April 1998 issue of Vibe magazine, Brandy dished on the pair’s off-screen relationship…and, well, it got a bit messy.

“I just feel like she wants to be in the position I’m in,” the singer-actress told the mag. “People tell her, ‘You’re the reason why the show’s successful.’ And she’s told me that before. And she’s called me a b—h to my face…I couldn’t say nothing about her because I wasn’t about to. She knows. She wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror and gets disgusted.”

Nearly 20 years after the interview was published, Countess Vaughn is ready to make things right with her former co-star. Over the weekend, the Hollywood Divas star penned a lengthy heartfelt Instagram note to Brandy, apologizing for any sour feelings, reports Vibe.

“I’m proud of you for being you and working to rise to the best you inside of you,” Countess wrote. “You are an amazing being with amazing God-given capacity…I apologize for anything negative I’ve ever done are [sic] said to you…Congratulations on everything you’ve accomplished…Love you beautiful…Happy holidays from Countess.”

It didn’t take long for Brandy to respond, and graciously accept the apology.

“Oh Countess,” Brandy wrote. “My heart is touched right now. You are beautiful to me. Always have been and always will be! I’m so thankful that we had such an amazing journey together as artist [sic] and as sisters growing up and growing through the pressures of being child stars. I would love to start a new friendship with you with new heads on both of our shoulders.”

Does this mean we can expect a Moesha reunion?
