A pregnant Pennsylvania woman is recovering from a horrific attack at the hands of her boyfriend after discovering that he provided her with bleach-infused water to drink in an attempt to kill their unborn child.
According to CBS News, 20-year-old Millersville University student Theophilus Washington was with his pregnant girlfriend and fellow student late Thursday night when he suggested she have some water from his refrigerator before leaving. The woman obliged, but later called 9-1-1 from her campus dorm room after reportedly feeling a burning sensation in her stomach that caused her to vomit.
Prosecutors say Washington later admitted to putting bleach in the water he offered to his girlfriend and said he previously told her he did not want her to have the baby.

Thankfully, doctors who examined the woman found no harm done to her or the unborn child, despite the fact she unknowingly ingested the bleach-filled water. She is roughly two months pregnant.
Washington faces charges of reckless endangerment and criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder. He is currently being held on $1 million bail pending a court hearing scheduled for November 4.
