Today, the new thriller White House Down starring Jamie Foxx, Garcelle Beauvais and Channing Tatum hits theaters. ESSENCE.com caught up with the film’s First Lady to talk about reuniting with her old friend, Foxx.
“People love me and Jamie together! I guess we formed this bond years ago, and people are excited to see us together for White House Down,” said Beauvais. “It’s exciting. I love him to death. We’re like brother and sister, so it’s really cool.”
Beauvais also opened up about using Michelle Obama as inspiration for her role. She also gave details about her upcoming children’s book, I Am Mixed.
