Coffee Talk: Tyler Perry Says Children Are in His Future

• In a candid interview with daytime TV’s new ratings king, Steve Harvey, director and actor Tyler Perry admits there’s one thing he has yet to accomplish in his life—fatherhood. “I know I would be a great father,” said Perry. “I don’t want to work this hard, I don’t want to have all of this and not leave it to my children. I also know, that as hard as I’m working—doing 20 hours a day—now is not the time.” Perry hopes that in two years, at age 45, he will finally be ready to settle down and have kids. But until then, he says he’s enjoying the busy schedule and enjoying being a bachelor. [The Steve Harvey Show]

• Naomi Campbell’s modeling competition show, The Face, was picked up for a second season. The Oxygen show will air another 10 episodes next season. Devyn Abdullah, a young mother from the Bronx, New York was the first season’s winner. She will become the brand ambassador for ULTA Beauty for their upcoming fall and holiday advertising campaign. • The Dream previewed a few select tracks from his upcoming album, IV Play MMXII, which fans have been patiently waiting to put their hands on for over a year now. Featured guests on the album include Beyoncé, who’s featured on “Fire,” Mary J. Blige, who’s featured on “Divine,” and Kelly Rowland, who is featured on “Where Have You Been.” No release date has been set. [Rolling Stone]

• Chris Brown’s probation violation case was delayed until June 10. The singer learned the news Friday while sitting in a Los Angeles court room. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, petitioned for more time to review “additional discovery.” Brown is accused of not completing 180 days of community service he received for pleading guilty to 2009 assault charges against Rihanna.
