Spike Lee has confirmed that he is working on bringing his classic 1989 film Do The Right Thing to Broadway. During a recent interview the director confirmed long time plans of bringing the movie to the stage, also noting that it will be a play and not a musical. Lee doesn’t give details on when we can expect the Broadway adaptation of the film that just celebrated its 25th birthday but said that it was definitely in the works. [IndieWire]
Monica confirmed in a recent Twitter Q&A that she will be working with Missy Elliot on her new project. When a fan tweeted her saying, “@MonicaBrown Are you working with @MissyElliot on the new album? #AskMo” the singer replied with a clear and simple “YES.” We last heard the duo on a track with 2003’s “So Gone” as well as the co-written track, “Anything (to find you)” from Monica’s last album New Life. Tameka Raymond, ex-wife of Usher Raymond says that she will honor her son on upcoming reality show Atlanta Exes saying, “I am focusing on my foundation for Kile’s world. My goal is to open a school in honor of my beloved son.” In a recent interview Raymond said that she will share her story about recovering from the loss of her son as well as her relationship with her ex-husband Usher.
