• The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History wants to put Trayvon Martin’s black hoodie on display. The museum’s director, Lonnie Bunch, said the hoodie has become a national symbol. “It’s rare that you get one artifact that really becomes a symbol,” said Bunch. “Because it’s such a symbol, it would allow you to talk about race in the age of Obama.” The museum might be able to obtain the hoodie after the Justice Department finishes its investigation. • The seats are filling up at the judges’ table of American Idol. The upcoming season will reportedly feature the return of two former judges—Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez. The latter is said to be very close to inking a deal with the show. A third and possible fourth judge have not been named. [Extra TV]

• Changes are coming to the upcoming season of NBC’s Parks and Rec. Actors Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe will be leaving the series in mid-season. Executive producer Mike Schur confirmed the news. “We’ve been working on their storyline (on and off) for four seasons now, and heading into this year, with the two of them contemplating parenthood, if felt like a natural time to move them into the next phase,” he said.
