Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams Found Guilty of ‘Blurred Lines’ Infringement

Looks like Robin Thicke and Pharrell blurred the lines between inspiration and infringement. On Tuesday, a California federal jury found that their mega hit “Blurred Lines” was improperly copied from Marvin Gaye’s 1977 song “Got to Give It Up.” As a result, Williams and Thicke have been ordered to pay $7.3 million in damages to Gaye’s family. The family will also seek to immediately stop the sale of “Blurred Lines” pending a future settlement outside of court. [PEOPLE]
