Guess what flavor brew we’ve got bubbling:
• The Real, featuring hosts Tamar Braxton, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Baillon, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai, is set to return to television in the fall of 2014. The show was given the green light to go national this week. It will also air on two networks, Fox and Bet. The talker is set to get similar treatment to The Wendy Williams Show, airing during the day on its proper channel and re-airing at night on BET. [Deadline]
• According to some officials, Chris Brown’s current rehab stint may not help him out in the long run. The Los Angeles County Probation Department says Brown going to rehab is a “too little, too late.” TMZ reports the department plans to submit a very critical report to the judge, who could decide to revoke Brown’s probation sending him to jail for as long as four years. • Kerry Washington says she finds it interesting that people get “frustrated” when she doesn’t share details about her personal life. Especially, if those comments turn into rumors about her sexuality. She told The Advocate, “It’s interesting how much people long to fill in the gaps when someone in the public eye doesn’t share their personal life. I understand their frustration.” She also wonders if the public is uncomfortable with seeing two people of the same gender giving affection. “But I’ve never been bothered by the lesbian rumor,” she said. “There’s nothing offensive about it, so there’s no reason to be offended.” [The Advocate]
• Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are suing YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley for posting video footage of their proposal last week. The lawsuit states that Hurley violated an agreement, which prohibited him from publishing any aspect of the event. The couple claims Hurley’s YouTube video diminishes the value of the footage they actually own. [CNN]
