  • It’s been a long time coming, but last night LeBron James showed the world that hard work and positive thinking really do pay off. James and shooting guard Dwyane Wade lead the Miami Heat to become the 2012 NBA Champions with a 121-106 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in game five. James proved that he made the right decision by leaving Cleveland to come to Miami in 2010. This is the Heat’s second NBA championship in six years and LeBron’s first. [Huffington Post]

  • In an interview with Houston’s 97.9 The Box, singer Lyfe Jennings gave some much needed advice to Drake and Chris Brown on how to handle their public brawl fallout. His advice: “Quit being so emotional about stuff.” He said both artists should be thinking about people in their lives. “When you fall, you have 30 other people that fall with you,” he said. “Forget the career; that’s how people get ruined!” [EURweb]

  • Essence Music Festival headliner D’Angelo has just been added to the lineup of performers for the 2012 BET Awards. Other acts include Usher, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music crew. The show will air live on July 1st. [That Grape Juice]

  • Raven-Symoné’s Broadway show Sister Act is coming to an end. The play, co-produced by Whoopi Goldberg, is set to have its final bow on August 26th. According to reports, the production has suffered from low tickets sales since it premiered in March of last year. The musical is based on the 1992 film by director Emile Ardolino. [EURweb]

  • Songstress Mariah Carey took to Twitter to confirm to her fans that she is in the studio working on new material. She tweeted: “So.. Summer 2012..
