- John Legend will release his fourth studio album, Love in the Future, in the coming months and has enlisted the help of Kanye West and Dave Tozer to produce it. Both West and Tozer were responsible for Legend’s debut album, Get Lifted, in 2004. The piano crooner will also take his new project on tour this fall. Legend will kick off his 23-date tour in Clearwater, Florida on October 16 and wrap up on November 21 in Oakland, California. [TGJ]
- The clinic treating Jesse Jackson Jr. has released a statement on the congressman’s condition. According to staff, he’s being treated for Bipolar II disorder, which “is a treatable condition that affects parts of the brain controlling emotion, thought and drive and is most likely caused by a complex set of genetic and environmental factors.” There’s no word on when Jackson will return to work. - Oprah can pat herself on the back this morning. Merriam-Webster Dictionary has added her catchphrase “aha moment” to this year’s annual update. The term first appeared in the English language in 1939 and was used rarely until the ’90s when Oprah began using it on TV. [Hollywood Reporter]
- In other Oprah news, she’s set to interview Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter. Oprah and crew will travel to Gabby’s West Des Moines, Iowa training camp for the interview. It’s set to air on Sunday, August 26 at 8:30 p.m. [Clutch]
