• Jennifer Hudson will perform “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl’s pre-game show on Sunday. Not only will she lend her vocals to the occasion, but she will perform with the Sandy Hook Elementary chorus. The chorus is made up of 26 members, one for each victim of the brutal shooting in December. Alicia Keys will follow with a rendition of the National Anthem, while Beyoncé will perform during the half-time show. [Hollywood Reporter]
• Robin Roberts is spending Super Bowl weekend with her family in New Orleans. She tweeted, “There’s no place like home…” She is reportedly traveling with her Good Morning America teammates, but will not be doing any work. She has, however, been preparing for a return to the anchor chair by doing dry-runs of her morning routine. [Grio]
• Naomi Campbell won libel damages from the Daily Telegraph that claimed she organized an elephant polo match for her boyfriend’s Indian birthday party. The story was widely republished across India and included criticism from animal activists. The amount of money she won is unknown. [Fox News]
• Gabby Douglas donated her personal items including an old leotard, wrist tape and uneven bar grips used during the 2012 Olympics in London to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
