Coffee Talk: Jamie Foxx Inks Deal to Create Horror Series

• Jamie Foxx has signed up to write, direct and executive produce a five-episode horror anthology for the Syfy network. The new mini-series, set for October, will be similar to the Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt. “This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life,” said Foxx. “Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way.” [Hollywood Reporter]

• The 2013 Made in America Festival, in Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway, has announced its lineup. Acts include Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Solange, Public Enemy and more. The outdoor festival is slated to begin on August 31 and wrap up on September 1. [Rolling Stone]

• NeNe Leakes has signed on for the sixth season of Real Housewives of Atlanta for a cool $1 million, according to reports. Leakes along with the rest of the cast inked their contracts before the season five reunions began airing. Leaks also stars on NBC’s New Normal and Fox’s Glee. [Radar Online]

• Chinese officials pulled Django Unchained from movie theaters around China moments after it began airing Thursday morning. “Technical reasons” were cited for the abrupt disruption. However, theater-goers were told to exit and no other screening times were set up. According to reports, it’s no surprise the film was yanked.
