Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots closed the season out to impressive numbers, drawing 3.6 million viewers and making it the number one telecast among total viewers in OWN history. The show ranked number four in all television. [TheWrap]

Fans can catch the live season premiere of The Soul Man on not one, but three channels. TV Land has partnered up with BET and Centric to broadcast the third-season premiere of the series starring Cedric the Entertainer and Niecy Nash. Those that need a refresher will be able to catch a marathon of seasons one and two starting April 5. The live season premiere of The Soul Man will air March 26 at 10:30 p.m. [HollywoodReporter]

Michael Strahan will is teaming up with Nickelodeon to host and executive produce the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. The show, modeling after the networks long-running and popular Kids’ Choice Awards, will focus on favorite athletes, teams and moments. The show is set for a July 17 premiere in Los Angeles. Fresh off of its box office success, the sequel to Ride Along already has a release date. Kevin Hart will return as a security guard and Ice Cube as an Atlanta cop. Will Packer has signed on to produce again. Ride Along 2 will hit a theatre near you January 15, 2016. [HollywoodReporter]

Romantic Comedy Jumping the Broom has received the green light for a sequel. Part two of the film, starring Paula Patton and Laz Alonso, will see two new families as they try to come together for a New York wedding. Tracey Edmonds and T.D. Jakes will return to produce the film, while Devon Franklin will oversee the project under Sony Pictures. There is no word yet on if the original cast will appear in the sequel. [CentricTV]
