• Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are reportedly set to jump the broom this weekend in Paris. According to a source, the couple along with Berry’s five-year-old daughter Nahla, boarded a plane to Paris on Tuesday. The pair got engaged in early 2012 when Martinez proposed with an emerald engagement ring. Berry swore off marriage in 2007. Berry and Martinez are expecting their first child together, a boy, later this year. [People]
• Drake is putting his Toronto condo on the market. The rapper is listing his three-bedroom, three-bathroom pad for $4.2 million. The palatial home is 3,600 square-feet. The building features around-the-clock concierge service as well as an indoor pool. Drake currently lives in a $7.7 million Hidden Hills, California mansion. [E! Online]
• Yesterday, President Barack Obama handed out several National Medals of Art and National Humanities Medals. Among the recipients was George Lucas, who recently wed his longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson. Obama praised Lucas for his contribution to film. “There’s a whole generation that thinks special effects always looked like they do today,” said Obama. “But it used to be you’d see, like, the string on the little model spaceships.” [Hollywood Reporter]
• Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter’s Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway and Swati Dlamini participated in a Twitter Q&A yesterday. For nearly nine hours, the duo answered a number of questions including those related to Mandela’s health. Zaziwe and Swati revealed that Mandela communicates with his eyes and eye movement. When asked if Mandela was in a vegetative state they weren’t able to comment on his personal health. However, when asked what’s the one thing the world doesn’t know about Mandela, they answered his sense of humor. “I don’t know he has shared so much of himself with the world,” they tweeted. “He actually is a very funny person.
