• Chris Brown is in hot water this morning for allegedly attacking Frank Ocean in West Hollywood. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Brown is under investigation, accused of assaulting an unidentified person on Sunday. Ocean took to Twitter to share his version of what happened. “Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys. lol,” Ocean tweeted. “I only wish everest was there. Cut my finger now I can’t play w/ two hands at the Grammys.” Witnesses claim the dispute originated over a parking space. Brown and company reportedly left the scene before police could arrive. • Although President Barack Obama and his family are huge football fans, if he had a son, he’d think twice before letting him play on the gridiron. He told the Associated Press he’d have to think “long and hard” about the decision: “I think that those of us who love the sport are going to wrestle with the fact that it will probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence.” Obama made it clear he’s more worried about college athletes who suffer concussions and other injuries. • Arsenio Hall, promoting his new talk show set to debut this fall, says things are little different this time around. “I think a lot of people are curious about who I am now,” he said. When asked who his audience will be, he replied, “The audience we had the first time around is about 40 now. From the [research] we have crunched, I think the audience that will embrace the show is an interesting cross demographic. That guy has kids now. I think they’ll both watch.” [Hollywood Reporter]
• Ohio Players frontman Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner died Saturday. He was 69. According to the Dayton Daily News, he died of cancer. The Ohio Players rose to fame in the early ’70s with hits like “Fire,” “Skin Tight” and “Love Rollercoaster.” Funeral arrangements have not been announced. [Dayton Daily News]
