Coffee Talk: Eva Marcille Obtains Full Custody of Daughter
By Dominique Hobdy · Updated October 27, 2020

See what we’re chatting about over iced lattes:

America’s Next Top Model star Eva Marcille has obtained full custody of her daughter with ex-boyfriend Kevin McCall. Marcille got a restraining order from McCall last month after he allegedly had a violent episode in their home. He has been denied visitation until a hearing next month. A representative for Eva said, “It is unfortunate that life has thrown a curve into Eva’s life but as a responsible parent and adult she’s taking steps to ensure the safety and well-being of their child and herself.” [TMZ]

Terry Crews is in talks to become the next host of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star will succeed Cedric the Entertainer as the host. [Deadline]

Michael Ealy’s drama Almost Human has been cancelled by Fox. The network decided not to pick the futuristic drama due to competition with Fox pilots for the upcoming season, including Batman prequel, Gotham. [Deadline]

Oprah has expressed her interest in buying the Los Angeles Clippers together with businessman David Geffen and Oracle Corp. CEO Larry Ellison. The media mogul says that she has no interest in running the team but, “She thinks it would be a great thing for an important Black American to own [another] franchise,” said Geffen. [USAToday]

Rutgers students have staged a sit-in at the schools administration building in protest of the university’s decision to invite Condoleezza Rice to deliver the commencement speech. The students cite Rice’s involvement in the Iraq War as the motivation to the protest. University officials have resisted the calls to “disinvite” Rice to the ceremony. [Huffington Post]
