Johnson is accused of not reporting to his probation officer.
See what we’re chatting about this morning:
• Former NFL star Chad Johnson is a wanted man by the Broward County, Florida police. Johnson allegedly violated his probation by not reporting to his probation officer. Johnson is also accused of not proving he enrolled in and completed the “Batterers Intervention Program.” Once apprehended, a hearing will be set to determine if he’s guilty of violating his probation. Last year, Johnson escaped jail time by accepting a plea deal after being charged with a battery misdemeanor for allegedly head-butting his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada. [TMZ]
• According to Sports Illustrated, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the highest paid athlete for the second year in a row. The boxer could earn as little as $90 million or earn as much as $128 million this year. Miami Heat star LeBron James came in at number two, football star Drew Brees came in at number three, Kobe Bryant earned the fourth spot and Tiger Woods rounded out the top five. [Sports Illustrated]
• Bob Johnson’s Image Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to Winnie Mandela, the biopic starring Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard. The film is set to be released this fall. “Both Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard delivered exceptional, solid performances,” said Bill Bromiley, Chief Acquisitions Officer for Image Entertainment. “We are honored to distribute the film and give audiences the opportunity to see Winnie Mandela’s powerful story.” [EURweb]
• Jamie Foxx is one busy man. If he’s not shooting a film, he’s working on an idea to sell. Foxx will reportedly be the executive producer and lead writer on a new TV series based on his, sometimes, awkward relationship with his daughter. Set to debut on the TNT network in the future, the scripted show is called Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me. There’s no word on who will star in the show, nor when it will debut. [Clutch Mag]
