Guess what flavor coffee we’ve got brewing:
• ABC has ordered nine more episodes of the hit drama Scandal starring Kerry Washington—bringing its season two episode count to 22. The show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, said that if the show received more episodes fans could expect a shift in the storyline. “We want to keep telling stories in that manner and because we’re doing 13 episodes and if we get more than that, we’ll be telling two different season-long arcs,” said Rhimes. “We came back nervous—can we top what we did last season—and now we’re all really excited because we figured out how we can.” [Shadow and Act]
• The TV mystery drama starring Meagan Good, formerly known as Notorious and Infamous, will officially be known as Deception. That’s the latest news on the show that made a mid-season debut last spring. There’s buzz that the show may return to the air soon given it’s name change. [Deadline]
• Gabrielle Union says she and boyfriend Dwyane Wade aren’t rushing into marriage—in fact, she’s enjoying the boyfriend-girlfriend stage. “I mean, we like each other a lot and we both failed miserably the last time either one of us got married,” said Union. “So, I think we’re doing it slow, you know what I mean? I think when you rush in, then people have crap to say; if you go too slow people have stuff to say, so, I think we have to take it at the pace that’s great for us.” [Just Fab]
• Jennifer Hudson brought the crowd to its feet at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, Conn. recently. The diva honored Clive Davis with a medley of Whitney Houston songs including “I’m Every Woman” and “How Will I Know” as he was honored with the Spirit of Hope Award by the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
