After Ciara’s self-titled fifth studio album failed to bring in sales, the songstress says she’s already back in the studio working on her sixth one.
“I’m in the process of making my new album,” she said. “My inspiration is life and reality. It’s important to express myself musically.”
The singer’s previous album dropped July 9th and spawned the hit single “Body Party.” Despite taking the number three spot on the Billboard charts and earning rave reviews, sales fell dramatically. The album struggled so much that Ciara had to offer fans a Groupon deal to encourage purchases.
The singer says she’s excited to make new music again and use it to share some of her more recent life experiences.
“I am so connected to who I am now, and I want to share pieces of myself with the world.”
