Cici is raking in too many coins to say Future's libelous comments have stopped her from finding work.
One of Ciara and Future’s latest court cases has been closed.
According to TMZ, the singer has dropped her $15 million defamation lawsuit against her former fiancé and the father of her son, Future Zahir.
CiCi slapped the ATL rapper with the high fined lawsuit after he sent out a tweet in February stating, “This bitch got control issues.”
She claimed at the time time that Future’s trash talk stopped her from booking gigs and wanted him to leave her name out of his conversaton.
Unfortunately, Ciara’s claims that his libelous choice of words were stopping her from losing money are actually unfounded.
Since the tweet, 2016 has actually been a good year for the ESSENCE Festival performer.
She tied the knot with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, co-hosted the Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris, signed a modeling contract with IMG and, most recently, was named as the Global Ambassador for beauty brand Revlon.
While this lawsuit has been tossed out, the courtroom battle between the exes isn’t over just yet.
Ciara is still suing Future for portraying her in a “false light,” or causing her to appear as someone she’s not.
