Known for her serious portrayals, Pounder’s ready tickle a few funnybones as the mother of retired NFL pro Michael Strahan and funnyman Daryl “Chill” Mitchell on “Brothers,” a new Fox comedy. Shepherd, a comedian and actress who’s no stranger to delivering knee-slapping punchlines, will play a law firm employee who deals with infidelity in her marriage on the new star in a Lifetime dramedy.
