Downtown in New York’s Meat Packing District, designer Caroline Seikaly presented an amazing collection of dresses crafted from chiffon, tule, lace and organza for spring 2010. Each piece was timeless and embraced this idea of feminine luxe.

A good designer knows how to edit down a collection to present only the most powerful and complying representation of the season, and that is exactly what Seikaly did.
The fifteen designs Seikaly showcased at the Tela Design Studio were compelling and seductive.
Seikaly shared with ESSENCE.com that she plays by her own rules and does not follow industry trends, creating what she feels her customer will want to wear and feel good in.

Celebrity hair stylist, Philip Pelusi and his Tela design team created chic little chignons that perfectly accented Seikaly’s spring collection.
The secret to creating this hairstyle, according to Pelusi, is to spray the length of your hair/ponytail with holding spray before twisting your hair into bun.
“The hairspray gives texture to the strands, allowing them to be easily manipulated. Most people spray the bun after, when they are already have the hair pinned and set, this is a much less affective method in keeping the hair to stay in place,” says pro stylist Pelusi.
