Photo Diary: Caribbean Carnival in Brooklyn

Labor Day Weekend in New York City means one thing to me: Carnival. Thanks to Brooklyn's rich Caribbean culture, I am able to experience carnival for an entire week, right in the US. I celebrated my Trinidadian roots over the course of four days -- attending seven fetes (parties), two concerts, and chippin' (walking through the streets) five miles with a total of 16 hours of sleep. While I may be sleepwalking for the next couple of days, at least I can reminisce on the beautiful sights and sounds of Carnival... Here's what you had to say: Corri commented via Facebook: "I had a wonderful time at the Parade!! I was a first timer." Debbie wrote via Facebook: "We go every year! This year we took my new grand daughter."
