Cardi B is having a baby girl!
The rapper confirmed the news during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, where Stern asked if she knew the sex of the baby. “Yes,” the rapper told the radio host. “I’m having a girl.”
At the Met Gala, Cardi also told The New York Times that the baby currently weighs about three and a half pounds. “Shorty weighs three and a half pounds…She do weigh three and a half pounds. That’s pretty good for seven months, right? Because I was born five pounds.”
Cardi confirmed she and fiancé Offset, one-third of the rap group Migos, were expecting their first child together during her Saturday Night Live debut.
The rapper also shut it down at Coachella in April, giving fans a fun performance that featured guests like YG, Kehlani, and Chance the Rapper.
In April, Cardi’s sister Hennessy hinted that the rapper was expecting a girl, writing in a since-deleted Instagram post, “NOW that baby Cardi is coming is like it’s coming true! I’m going to be able to hold baby you and give her all the kisses and hugs!”
This will be Cardi’s first child and the fourth for Offset.
