From designers such as Patrick Robinson to Ozwald Boateng, it’s always refreshing to see Black men creating fashion that is on-trend and wearable, and with the men’s wear market currently experiencing a ‘fashion boom,’ new talent Brett Johnson seems ready for the spotlight.

With the guidance of one of his legendary mentors, Donna Karan, Johnson has been making industry waves -as well as luxurious men’s suits- since launching his eponymous brand in 2013.

This week, Johnson debuted his collection for Spring/Summer 2017, which embodied an essence of the Aztec; Navajo references, muted color palettes and cacti set as the stage backdrop.

Fun-fact: Brett is the son of BET founders, Bob and Sheila Johnson!
