Boyz II Men are music industry professionals. With 20 years of experience under their belt, their veteran status can’t be denied. And Hollywood seems to be in agreement that they’re well overdue for some shine — the former quartet (now trio) will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to EURweb, the ceremony is set for Thursday, January 5th and it will be the 2,456th star unveiled in Tinseltown.
The group is fresh off releasing their 20th anniversary album, “20,” featuring eight re-recordings and 12 brand new Boyz II Men songs. They told ESSENCE.com in a recent interview that their music is a reflection of the classic Boyz II Men sound… and what they are today.
When asked how they keep it going after two decades, Nathan Morris said, “The fans are what keep us going. The fact that we still love it is one thing, but when you sing the same songs for 20 years, it can get old. But when the audience is different every night — they give you different responses, they act different, they give you different energy — it makes every show different.”
This beloved act still has what it takes to make the ladies swoon — they took the stage at EMF this year, bringing back myriad memories for fans.
