The singer’s father, Herbert Brown, passed away last night after a long battle with cancer reports TMZ. He was 82.
Last week, Brown took to his Twitter page to put in a prayer request for his ailing dad. “Requesting prayers for Pop Brown… @ hospital with him now…” Brown wrote. He later tweeted, “Thanks again for all the prayers… Keep them coming….”
Sources close to the family say that Herbert, who was affectionately known as “Pop” had been ill for many years. Herbert appeared on Bobby’s hit reality show “Being Bobby Brown” back in 2005.
