Bobby Brown Says Bobbi Kristina is 'Doing Much Better'

Days after being hospitalized and treated for an emotional breakdown, Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing fine, says her father, Bobby Brown.

“My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better,” Brown says in statement released to ESSENCE.com. “We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected.”

Bobbi Kristina was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles shortly after finding out about her mother’s death on Saturday. “Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her,” Brown told PEOPLE on Monday. “However we will get through this tragedy as a family.”

Brown took to the stage alongside his New Edition band mates this past weekend, hours after learning of Houston’s death. He told the crowd, “I would like to say, I love you, Whitney. The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage,” reports CBS.
