Black movie lovers get ready to rejoice. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Blockbuster Inc. are joining forces to present “NAACP Top 100 Films of the Century: 100 Years, 100 Films (1909-2009)” to celebrate a century of inspirational multicultural films. Movie fans are invited to participate in the process by going to naacp.com to rate their favorite Black film that have significantly impacted our culture. There are about 1,000 groundbreaking films to choose from (everything from “Stormy Weather” to “Dreamgirls”) but the final list of 100 will be announced this June. The process to pick your favorite movie starts now through April 27. Nominated films are available for rent at any participating Blockbuster store.—JW
