Black Vampires Past and Present

Fine fellow Will Smith has hopped on the vampire bandwagon. The mega movie star has confirmed he will star and produce the newest vampire trending film titled 'Legend of Cain.' The movie tells the prodigious biblical tale of the sibling rivalry between Cain and Able with a vampire spin. Smith has appointed himself to take the lead of the jealous vampire Cain, who is credited as being the world's first murderer. Produced by Overbrook Enterntainment, the same company that produced his Smith son Jayden debut feature film Karate Kid, his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and business partners James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz co-produce the film that still has no confirmed release date. With super successful films like, 'Twilight,' and hugely addicting shows like 'True Blood,' it safe to say Americans have a thing for Vampires. The odd obsession with blood suckers isn't limited to one culture, after all Will Smith isn't the first African American looking for success exploit the world's preoccupation with vampires. Not the first, and we're sure Smith won't be the last. Take a look at the other Blacks who have made bit their teeth into roles in bloodsucking roles in movies and television over the years.
