A study released earlier this week found that the graduation success rate for African American athletes is up by two percent from 2006 and in some cases (like in top division basketball) rose as high as five percent, according to the Associated Press. The report was issued by The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport which is based at the University of Central Florida. The graduation success rate rose from 71 to 76 percent in women’s basketball alone.—WLW
