Forest Whitaker first met his beautiful bride-to-be, model Keisha Nash, on a movie set. She was cast to play his girlfriend in the action-thriller, “Blown Away.” They soon began dating.
Keisha and Forest tied the knot in Montego Bay, Jamaica in 1995. They welcomed their daughter Sonnet in 1996, and True in 1998. Their other two children, Ocean, 21, and Autumn, 20, are from previous relationships.
“I had seen him in ‘A Rage in Harlem,’ Keisha told Ebony of her husband. “Right away, I thought Forest had a gentle soul and a nice spirit.” Here Keisha and Forest celebrate his 40th birthday with Forest’s brother, Damon Whitaker.
“What makes a good partnership or marriage is when you support one another,” says Keisha.
Having a husband as busy as Forest Whitaker can be challenging, says Keisha. The couple stays connected by having date nights. “Maybe well just stay in town and maybe go to a hotel, order room service, watch movies and have like a date night,” says the model mom.
So what makes a marriage work? “Plenty of respect and plenty of treats!" says Keisha.
Besides being a busy mom and support system for her husband, Keisha also recently partnered with makeup artist A.J. Crimson to star a cosmetics line, called Kissable Couture.
