The Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, will present the lives of Blacks in the American West in a special exhibit. ³The Black West:Buffalo Soldiers, Black Cowboys and Untold Stories² debuts December 20. The exhibit, which will run through March 22, 2009, features 65 works of art by 16 contemporary Black artists. Alongside the exhibit, ³Bronze Buckaroos: Mythic Images of the Black West² will showcase 25 movie posters portraying the Black western experience, highlighting Black explorers, lawmen, rodeo stars outlaws and women of the period.
