It seems Black Americans are pretty fine with spending money. We are now considered the largest racial minority market, gaining greater economic clout than ever before, according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth. In 1990, our buying power was $318 billion, but fast-forward 18 years and our buying power is now $913 billion. Black Americans are also expected to spend around $1.24 trillion in 2013.
