Disgraced pastor Bishop Eddie Long was recently crowned “king” of his congregation during service at his New Birth Missionary church in Atlanta, Georgia.

In a nearly 15 minute long video that has gone viral, visiting speaker, Rabbi Ralph Messer, wraps Long in a scroll allegedly resurrected from the dead and anoints him as royalty. “He’s a king. God’s blessed him,” shouts Messer. “He’s a humble man. But in him is kingship. In him is royalty.”

The Huffington Post reports that Messer “teaches the Hebrew Roots of the Christian Faith, fulfilling the great commission to make disciples of all the nations.” He ultimately wants to bring together the “‘Good News’ of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) in the Torah to the ends of the earth.”

Despite Long’s current royalty status, he continues to face allegations of sexual abused from 5 young men. In December, his wife of 21 years, Vanessa, filed and rescinded her petition for divorce several times before finally deciding to call it quits.

The next day, Long announced he would be taking time off from his church work. And weeks later before the New Year, New Birth Christian Academy announced it would be closing its doors to 221 students from grades K through 12.
