The singer says that when she left school early to focus on music, she missed out on making friends. “I left school at 14 and had a tutor. I was never exposed to people long enough to make friends so my family became my friends,” she told the Sun, a UK newspaper.
Beyonce adds that her mother, Tina Knowles, encouraged her to follow her young heart. “Very early on, my mom was telling me to be who I wanted to be. When I was seven, I performed on stage for the first time and fell in love with the feeling. I was awkward around other kids but felt comfortable on the stage.”
It all paid off. Beyonce’s worldwide fame, talent and business acumen are truly a testament to the many years of hard work!
