Beyonce Knowles just joined a new Hollywood elite as one of the industry’s latest stars invited to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — you know, the organization behind that little (but-oh-so fabulous) thing called the Oscars.
The singer-actress — whose new album “4” is slated for release June 28 – has been named among 178 film luminaries invited to the Academy. After starring in films like “Dream Girls,” “Cadillac Records,” and 2012’s upcoming “A Star is Born,” it’s no wonder she made the list.
