Beyonce is bringing sexy back in the the “Strictly Sexy” issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.

The cover star dishes on female friendships and whether or not she’s a feminist.

Bey, who’s written tons of girl-power anthems, says she’s doesn’t feel it’s necessary to be called a feminist. “It’s just something that’s kind of natural for me, and I feel like… you know… it’s, like, what I live for,” she said.

She added that growing up around strong women in her mother’s salon taught her the importance of female friendships. “I’m afraid when women never hang around with other women,” she said. “That’s a little scary to me — why is that?”
